The Boulder Peak Triathlon wasn’t a great result for me but it did serve its purpose. First, I’m confirmed with a start for the HyVee Elite Cup on September 1st. I get to compete for a share of the million dollar, er, $500,000 prize purse! Second, it showed me I really need to do some training. My current level of swimming simply won’t cut it with what is going to be required in HyVee and Vegas (read: Josh Amberger will be at both races). So no Boulder 70.3 for me, I’ll be training instead.
